2010 LANGLEY CHESS CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS

Dates: September 20, 27, October 4, 18, 25, 2010
Place: Langley Chess Club, 19899 - 36 Ave, Langley
Rounds: 5 rounds Swiss system, one round per week
Start Time: 7 pm
Time Control: 90 minutes with 30 second increment
Entry Fee: $15 . Tournament is open to Langley Chess Club members only
Prizes: Based on entries
Registration: 7:00 pm, September 20
Organising Tournament Director.: Brian Davidson

In the event of a tie for first place, prize money will be shared, but a play-off will be held to determine the winner (Club Champion) whose name will appear on the trophy. The playoff will be in the format of a round robin with each person tying for first place playing one game. If there is still a tie, then active round robins (30 minutes each) will take place, until a winner is decided.

DROP IN CHESS (Open to all players):

Dates: Any Monday at 7pm, when there is no competition taking place.
Place: Langley Chess Club, 19899 - 36 Ave, Langley
Fee: Paid- up members; Free. Non-members pay drop in fee of $4 (adults) or $2 (children). Note that this drop in fee is paid even during tournaments and helps cover running costs.
