Dates: September 3 to September 5, 2011 (Labor Day Weekend).

Details: Open. 6 Rounds. Time control of 90 minutes each, with 30 second increment.

Round 1 - Saturday, September 3, 10:00am
Round 2 - Saturday, September 3, 4:00pm
Round 3 - Sunday, September 4, 10:00am
Round 4 - Sunday, September 4, 4:00pm
Round 5 - Monday, September 5, 9:00am
Round 6 - Monday, September 5, 3:00pm or ASAP.

Single Entry: $70 Early Entry: $60 if paid by August 22, 2011
Family Rate: Parent Pays Full Rate, Children Pay Just $15 each
Free Entry for Players Rated 2300 or above.

Prizes: Minimum Prize Fund is being guaranteed at $2000, with generous prizes for Best Under 2000 rated player, Best Under 1700 rated played and biggest upset! All levels welcome! Please contact us if you wish to be a sponsor.

Miscellaneous: CFC rated, half-point byes may be requested for all but the last round. Please bring sets, boards and clocks.

This tournament (the 6th Annual Langley Chess Club Open) is a qualifier for the 2011 BC Closed Championships. The winner of the Langley Open will qualify, and in the event of a tie, there will be no playoff. Instead, the winner will be deemed to be the person with the highest cumulative score
