August 30 to September 1, 2008 (Labor Day Weekend).

Time Control: 2 hours each, with 30 second increment added on after every move.

Rounds: 6 Rounds

Round 1 - Saturday, August 30, 10:30am
Round 2 - Saturday, August 30, 4:30pm
Round 3 - Sunday, August 31, 10:00am
Round 4 - Sunday, August 31, 4:00pm
Round 5 - Monday, September 1, 9:00am
Round 6 - Monday, September 1, 3:00pm or ASAP.

Entry Fee:
Before or on August 18, 2008: $30
After August 18, 2008 or on site: $40

Prizes: Based on entries and sponsorship.

Accommodation: Langley Chess Club has negotiated a group rate for the Chess Tournament, with the nearby Best Western Country Meadows . The rooms at the Best Western Country Meadows include deluxe buffet style continental breakfast in the mornings, use of beautiful indoor swimming pool and hottub, high speed wireless internet access, and fitness room.  The group rate for the Chess Tournament is $95 plus taxes, for up to four people in a room. This rate is valid for deluxe standard rooms or a kitchenette. All the guest rooms have queen size beds, microwaves, fridges, coffee, coffee makers, hairdryers, iron and ironing board.

Guests can phone in to make a reservation using direct toll-free number, 1-800-834-0833, they just have to mention that they are coming for the Chess tournament and they will be given the group rate.

Miscellaneous: CFC rated, half-point byes may be requested for all but the last round. Please bring sets, boards and clocks.
